Miniature Felt Bird Giveaway!

                               

 This week is the week of Joy and a time to celebrate the light of animals. For our Advent garden  this week I wanted to make some birds and during a particularly bad Ehlers flair up this past weekend resulting in a sleepless night... I made some. Not to shabby for a sleepless night. Hopefully this will be a reminder for someone that you can always turn something bad into something good (or in this case, felt) if you just open yourself up to the possibilities..They are stuffed with wool and the details are done with a mixture of really bad embroidery and paint after giving up on said embroidery (lol).

  A cardinal, a chickadee, and a blue jay, three of the more common winter birds of Minnesota that I would like to give away. A tiny bit of my home to you. You don't have to start following me or spread the word on your blog (but it would be nice if you did). Fairy Garden

 I have always had a love of fairy gardens and when I was younger I built them all over my parents yard. A year or two ago Bear bought me this giant pot to sit next to our front door and I have been dreaming of turning it into a fairy hallow. 

The little house is made out of Polymer Clay and a pop-can. The windows glow in the dark so it looks like someone is home at night. Everyone who visits our home is cheerfully greeted by this little garden. My younger visitors ask who lives there and my older visitors say it makes them feel young again.

I have entered my garden into The Magic Onion's 5th annual Fairy Garden Contest. I love my new little garden and hope you do to. Maybe you might grow one of your own? If you do, I would love to see. Have a beautiful day, be well, and Have Fun!

Store Opening and Give Away!!!

It's open! Bear and I have spent all weekend photographing and cataloging all of my crafts; today a dream has been fulfilled. Today I open my online craft store. There is a link in my side bar. There are many more things that I still have to post, but at long last my store is up and running. A special thank you to everyone who has encouraged me along the way. As a special Thank you and to celebrate this milestone I am having my first Give Away. A lot of people seemed to like my mushroom pincushions. As a special thank you I am giving away one of my test pincushions and also one of my sets of two gnomes. A drawing will be held July 31st and the winner will be announced August 1st.
