This Moment

A Friday ritual. A single photo-no words- capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember."SouleMama".
A new chapter in our lives.. I won't say things are getting back to normal. In the wake of my mother's death "Normal" is gone... It's more of an ending and a new beginning. Finding our "new normal". Thank you all who keep visiting. I hope to get back to visiting your blogs during nap times again soon. We are falling back into our rhythm and thankfully it still includes afternoon naps.
Shine on.

  1. Ohhhh, a monarch chrysalis. How exciting! Are you leaving it where it is, or bringing it in to hatch? I have to admit that watching this transformation has been one of the highlights of my life. It certainly is amazing!

A wonderful new beginning for you, and your family. Shining light on you as you move forward my friend. xo

    1. Thank you Kim for your kind words. We are leaving the chrysalis where it is right now. If the weather gets colder we will bring it in. Otherwise we will just cover it at night. Shine on

  2. Dear dear friend, I've been so behind and lost in the blogosphere lately that I missed this news and I'm so very very sorry to hear about your loss. I wish you healing and peace in this "new" journey. xox

    The chrysalis is beautiful.

    1. Thank you Yanic. I hope the butterfly survives. It's inside now, but we've had cold nights.

  3. Wow! what a gorgeous picture and a fabulous find! Oh, how we would love to see a monarch chrysalis out on one of our walks! What a treat!

Our moment comes from our Tomato Day! Each year the four of us spend one day in the kitchen making sauce. The girls have always helped but this year they didn't need much help from us at all!

  5. So sorry for the loss of your mom. I just read your comment on another blog about the loss of your mom and taking out her canning jars. My dad passed almost nine years ago and I honestly could still cry a river. It was very sudden and he was only 59. He leaves signs in the form of dimes and lets us know he's still with us always. Makes it easier but certainly not the same without him. I'm sending you a hug. God bless. xo
